The 2025 Long Island Eucharistic Congress, hosted by the diocese of Rockville Centre, culminated on Sunday, June 8, at St. Anthony’s High School in Huntington, New York.
This was a weeklong event of Eucharistic Adoration, Holy Mass, Vigils, catechesis, and prayer. SAGE’s northeast director, Bill Lauto, organized an all-day event on June 2nd at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Patchogue, New York under the guidance of Father Dave Atanasio. The daylong presentation on Jesus’ burial Sindone had replicas, displays, videos, breaks for breakfast, lunch, and questions.
As the truth about Jesus’ Shroud was presented, the timing with the first coffee break was perfect… Father Dave who was leading that day’s Holy Eucharistic procession arrived at the Church and everyone in attendance received a very special benediction with the Holy Eucharist. Afterwards, many in the Eucharistic procession stayed for the remaining Shroud presentation.
The entire week focused on Eucharistic devotion and all that attended Sunday at St. Anthony’s High School witnessed testimonies, fellowship, confession, and keynote speakers.
Being in attendance on Sunday, Bill Lauto reported that people of all ages came closer to Jesus through the Holy Eucharist.
