Fr. Andrew Dalton, LC

Professor, Postgraduate Certificate in Shroud Studies

Fr. Dalton is a popular international speaker on the Shroud. His appearance on the Pints With Aquinas podcast has generated over 3.3 million views. He has presented at dozens of parishes in English, Spanish and Italian. He’s been featured at the SEEK conference, National Eucharistic Congress, and Young Catholic Professionals.

He teaches Synoptic Gospels and Biblical Greek and Hebrew at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome. He also teaches the biblical theology of the Passion of Christ for Othonia’s postgraduate certificate in Shroud Studies.

Venue Requirements

Technical Requirements:

  • Projector with at least 10,000 lumens for visibility in large, well-lit rooms
  • Screen to accommodate the audience size
  • Audio System with microphones and high-quality speakers
  • Lighting
  • HDMI Cables to connect laptop to projector
  • Laser pointer
  • Back-up Projector and Laptop (for redundancy)

Technical IT Support or AV Technician
Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment

Seating and Parking
Adequate for expected audience.

Livestream and/or Recording

Encouraged for all events to share with the widest possible audience.
Othonia reserves the right to approve the Livestream host.

Speaker Expenses and Fee

Speaker Travel Expenses:

  • Host location to pay speaker travel expenses:
  • Flights: US locations: equivalent of flight from Atlanta, GA
  • Lodging: Rectory, seminaries, priest lodging, private homes or hotels
  • Meals: All meals while at host location
  • Ground transportation: to/from airport, lodging, meals, venues

Speaker Fee:

  • For Fr. Andrew – $2,000 Speaker Fee
  • Due at completion of event
  • An invoice will be provided to the host location

Othonia, North American Director

Nora has presented to middle school, high school, and university students, and many parishes. She gave interviews on the Shroud during the National Eucharistic Congress.

She is a renowned speaker on the Shroud, known for her ability to connect scientific and historical findings with theological interpretations. She earned a Master of Arts in Faith and Culture from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. Nora is the North American representative for Othonia.

Emanuela Marinelli

Professor, Postgraduate Certificate in Shroud Studies

Emanuela is one of the world’s most respected scholars on the Shroud. Since 1977 she has written 21 books on the Shroud of Turin (some translated into various languages) as well as numerous articles on Shroud-related topics. Her presentations combine scientific observations, historical facts, and scriptural interpretations.

She has been part of the Centro Romano di Sindonologia since 1977.

Professor, Postgraduate Certificate in Shroud Studies

Fr. Spence is a professor of theology at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome. He is a recognized speaker on the Shroud, known for his ability to connect scientific, historical, and theological perspectives. He has presented his research to diverse audiences in both English and Italian.

Nan Balfour

Othonia Shroud Apostolate

Nan Balfour is a writer, speaker, and guide for the “Who is the Man of the Shroud?” exhibit at the Pilgrim Center of Hope in San Antonio, Texas. She holds a postgraduate certificate in Shroud Studies.

Nan presents “A Journey with the Shroud,” diving into various fields like photography, forensics, and theology. She also focuses on the parallels between the Shroud image and the accounts of Jesus Christ’s Passion and death in the Gospels.
