Nato a Monterrey, in Messico, il 19 novembre 1953, Padre Guerra \u00e8 poi diventato sacerdote dei Legionari di Cristo e ha ricoperto diversi ruoli di leadership e insegnamento. Il Pontificio Ateneo Regina Apostolorum lo ricorda come ex direttore regionale dei Legionari di Cristo, insegnante e promotore delle mostre sulla Sindone che sono iniziato a Gerusalemme e Roma, prima di raggiungere altre citt\u00e0. La storia di Othonia stessa racconta che Padre Guerra sognava di istituire mostre sulla Sindone in tutto il mondo e che i suoi sforzi hanno portato alla prima mostra al Notre Dame Center di Gerusalemme nel 2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L'interesse di Padre Guerra per la Sindone non era puramente accademico. Egli credeva che la Sindone potesse aiutare uomini e donne moderni a incontrare il Vangelo sia con la fede che con la ragione. Nei suoi scritti, si premurava di affermare che la Sindone non \u00e8 il fondamento della fede cristiana, n\u00e9 un oggetto magico, n\u00e9 qualcosa che impone la credenza. Piuttosto, la vedeva come un \u201cponte\u201d che pu\u00f2 condurre una persona verso Cristo, specialmente in un'epoca visiva e scientifica. Scrisse che l'immagine aiuta le persone a ricordare ci\u00f2 che rappresenta: l'amore \u201csino alla fine\u201d. Per lui, la scienza non sostituiva la fede, ma poteva aprire una porta. Padre Guerra contribu\u00ec a promuovere le mostre permanenti e itineranti \u201cChi \u00e8 l\u2019Uomo della Sindone?\u201d con sedi iniziali a Gerusalemme, Roma, Sacramento, Lisbona, Den Bosch, Cracovia e Citt\u00e0 del Messico. Per dare continuit\u00e0 a questi sforzi, fond\u00f2 Othonia nel 2009 con Padre Rafael Pascual, LC, presso il Pontificio Ateneo Regina Apostolorum a Roma, immaginandola come un centro di educazione, ricerca e dialogo sulla Sindone. Anche mentre si sottoponeva alla chemioterapia, Padre Guerra partecip\u00f2 all\u2019inaugurazione nel 2012 della mostra presso l\u2019Universit\u00e0 An\u00e1huac in Messico perch\u00e9, da messicano, quella inaugurazione gli stava profondamente a cuore.
