Esta herida corresponde a la hoja de doble filo de la lanza romana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lo que vio Juan: el relato evang\u00e9lico<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Juan insiste en su Evangelio en que fue testigo de lo siguiente:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Los centuriones ven\u00edan a romper las piernas de los crucificados para acelerar su muerte.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jes\u00fas ya estaba muerto, por lo que sus piernas no estaban rotas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Un centuri\u00f3n atraves\u00f3 el costado de Jes\u00fas con una lanza.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>De esta herida manaba sangre y agua.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lo que vio Juan: la explicaci\u00f3n forense<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre 30 y 60 minutos despu\u00e9s de la muerte, cuando el coraz\u00f3n deja de bombear, la sangre se separa en un l\u00edquido denso de gl\u00f3bulos rojos y plasma acuoso claro. Esto le ocurri\u00f3 a Jes\u00fas en la cruz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La lanza penetr\u00f3 aproximadamente 9 cm, alcanzando la aur\u00edcula o el ventr\u00edculo derecho del coraz\u00f3n. La capa que John describi\u00f3 como \u201cagua\u201d era probablemente l\u00edquido pleural y peric\u00e1rdico seroso que parec\u00eda transparente y, por tanto, a John le pareci\u00f3 agua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Derrame pleural<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Los fuertes latidos de la flagelaci\u00f3n combinados con las duras ca\u00eddas al cargar el pesado travesa\u00f1o de la cruz hicieron que se acumulara sangre y l\u00edquido en la cavidad tor\u00e1cica de Jes\u00fas. Una vez que su coraz\u00f3n dej\u00f3 de latir y de hacer circular la sangre, el l\u00edquido sanguinolento que llenaba su pecho se asent\u00f3 en dos capas: una capa sanguinolenta y una capa de l\u00edquido claro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Los cient\u00edficos descubrieron el \u201cagua\u201d en 1978<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La sangre roja de la S\u00e1bana Santa puede verse a simple vista, pero no el \u201cagua\u201d de la que habl\u00f3 John. Esta capa apareci\u00f3 cuando el equipo del STURP fotografi\u00f3 la S\u00e1bana Santa con fluoroscopia de rayos X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los cient\u00edficos de STURP midieron la fluorescencia ultravioleta en la zona de esta mancha de sangre. Distinguieron la presencia de los componentes celulares de la sangre, pero tambi\u00e9n del l\u00edquido seroso transparente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Esto era fluido post-mortem<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Los forenses est\u00e1n de acuerdo: el hombre de la S\u00e1bana Santa estaba muerto en el momento de la herida en el costado. La presencia tanto de sangre como de suero acuoso lo confirma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">El flujo del fluido<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fluye verticalmente por el lado derecho del pecho<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Se extiende horizontalmente por la espalda<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"947\" src=\"https:\/\/othonia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Pierced-Side-UV--1024x947.png\" alt=\"Pierced Side UV\" class=\"wp-image-906\" style=\"width:614px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/othonia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Pierced-Side-UV--1024x947.png 1024w, https:\/\/othonia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Pierced-Side-UV--300x277.png 300w, https:\/\/othonia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Pierced-Side-UV--768x710.png 768w, https:\/\/othonia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Pierced-Side-UV-.png 1222w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La herida de la lanza<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Entre la quinta y la sexta costilla del lado derecho<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coincide exactamente con la forma de una lancia (lanza romana)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forma ovalada, 4,4 cm por 1,1 cm (1,75 pulgadas por 0,44 pulgadas)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"593\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/othonia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Pierced-Side-Ribs.jpg\" alt=\"Costillas laterales perforadas\" class=\"wp-image-907\" srcset=\"https:\/\/othonia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Pierced-Side-Ribs.jpg 593w, https:\/\/othonia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Pierced-Side-Ribs-300x256.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 593px) 100vw, 593px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lo que vio Juan: significado teol\u00f3gico<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Teol\u00f3gicamente, la sangre y el agua simbolizan el nacimiento de la Iglesia. Los doctores de la Iglesia suelen citar Juan 19:34, entre ellos Tom\u00e1s de Aquino: \u201cLa perforaci\u00f3n es una apertura... la puerta de la vida abierta de par en par, de donde brotaron los Sacramentos de la Iglesia...\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Para llevar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Juan fue testigo ocular de la perforaci\u00f3n del costado de Jes\u00fas e insisti\u00f3 mucho en ver la sangre y el agua fluir de su costado. Este relato de testigos oculares fue validado por el estudio cient\u00edfico de las manchas de sangre en la S\u00e1bana Santa realizado por el Equipo STURP en 1978.
